Tin Shed – Year 1

It’s been a pretty good year for Tin Shed. We formed, practiced, practiced some more, played an open mic, and practiced. Then we practiced, put together our first show, practiced, played another show, practiced, and practiced. After practice, we practiced, played two more shows, practiced, and laid down 3 tracks in the studio. Finally, more practice, another open mic to try out some new songs, and practice.

Thanks to everybody who attended our shows, and who encouraged us through year one. Special thanks to Eden at Evolution studios, who runs the best practice facility I’ve ever used. Sure, it’s also the only one I’ve ever used, but the place rocks. And thanks to Kai and Charles for letting me join their little club.

At the start of the year, I’d never played drums in a band. Now, I’ve played four shows, including one at the legendary Seattle ShowBox. And we’re going to continue work on our first album, with three songs already tracked. Year 1 was awesome, and year two should be even better.
